Northern Lights Pour Painting

Talana began this work with a very different vision—dark, abstract, restless. But as shapes shifted and colors softened, a swan appeared, gliding across an imagined pink pond. What started in turbulence resolved into unexpected calm, the painting finding its own quiet grace.

Merging Black Holes shows a small black hole and a much larger one on a collision course. No one knows exactly what happens when they meet, but it would almost certainly be a spectacular sight.

Horse Whisperer was created by Talana. When I started this pour painting, I was thinking about bringing people joy and capturing the warmth of Christmas with shades of green and gold. After I finished, I stepped back and saw the shape of a horse’s head in the paint. That moment inspired the name — Horse Whisperer.
